Runnin' Fools and Dead Meat

Day 23, I almost started doing my sit ups while visiting with Mist, but refrained myself until after they left. The family put on a creepy movie and I kept getting distracted, but did get them in with goose bumps.... Day 24 I did an Ab variety. Day 25 I hurried through 100 before leaving for work. Day 26 I did a variety while waiting for Miss Moona to finish her soup. I added in a "side plank / side bridge deally holding position" that is supposed to tone hard to work ab areas...... After that, I gave her a quick sled ride before heading off to work.........

I have decided to run Bloomsday. I don't know how to explain it. I just have this feeling about doing it......like its something I'm supposed to do........I registered and paid for it today. Now I will be under the gun to get back into running shape. Truth be told I have never EVER run 7 1/2 miles before. Before winter I was running 4 pretty consistently. Lately I've been doing 2 on spikes. This is serious stuff. What makes me think I can run 7 1/2 miles?! I don't know. Like I said, I just have this feeling like its something I'm supposed to do...............

Have you ever done anything THIS crazy?

  1. I love what you are doing!!! Of course you can run this and it's so great that you have jumped in and committed to it!
I am such a slug this winter, haven't been to the gym in forever, but I think today you have inspired me to head out for a long walk with my boys and the double stroller to get some fresh air into our lungs, rain be damned!

Smile of encouragement sent your way!!!

and thank you so much for the great idea for my next piece of art and for the sweet comment about my latest piece.

off to deliver kids to school and then shake out that stroller!

  2. I've done numerous crazy things and this is quite and undertaking but imagine the satisfaction of knowing you completed a journey within a journey...Many times in my life I have done things not understanding why until after the fact and more times than not it was a good thing...Much success and God Bless I know in my heart you would regret it more if you didn't go for it...Sometimes God stretches our limits to show us just how limitless they are...Patricia

  3. You can do Bloomsday, no problem! I've seen several training schedules for marathons and half-marathons, and none of them actually have you running that many miles until the day of the race. You train to run less than that distance, have a day of complete rest the day before the race, and then complete the race.

I'm so excited for you! I'm going to go follow the link and check it out.
